Florence Nightlife

You won’t find Rome’s selection of clubs and bars here, but you will find a unique and energetic nightlife that will keep you out till the wee hours of the morning here. A huge selection of cocktails, beers and, of course, wine are featured everywhere and you will have an easier time finding a quiet place to sip your drink than a pulsating dance floor, but a good time can be had by all no matter what you’re looking for.

A great spot if you want to rub elbows with locals and try to get away from the tourist traffic for a bit. The wine selection is predictably excellent.

The future of nightclubs, Universale lets you do what you want: watch a movie, listen to music, have a drink or whatever. A neat concept executed perfectly.

3. Central Park - Parco delle Cascine Florence - website

While the cover here is absolutely absurd, Central Park is a popular spot in the summertime; just bring your wallet if you plan to go.

4. Slowly - Via Porta Rossa 63 Florence - website

A young crowd and a bouncer that is tough to get by are always the staples; it will help if you’re famous or at least look famous if you want to party here.

5. Dolce Vita - Piazza del Carmine, 6r Florence - website

Finally, a spot in Florence devoid of attitude. This is the spot if you want to have fun and enjoy the beautiful summer weather.

If you need a show with your glass(es) of wine, check out Otel, a wonderful cabaret that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

7. Fusion Bar - Hotel Gallery Art, Vicolo dell'Oro 26r Florence - website

With excellent sushi and even better drinks, Fusion Bar is a fun spot that manages to exist without looking down its nose at you.

8. Kikuya - Via Benci 43R Florence - website

One of the least fashionable places in the city, the lack of pretension also means you can have a good time for surprisingly little.

9. Jazz Club Piano Bar - Via Nuova de’ Caccini 3 Florence - website

If you can stand the cigarette smoke, this wonderful little jazz bar lets you groove until the wee hours of the morning.
